Sri Seeta RamachandraSwamy Temple situated at Bhadrachalam in New District of Bhadradri Kothagudem, State of Telangana in india. The most famous temple in the country dedicated to Lord Rama. The temple was constructed in the 17th century by the Local Thahasildar Kancharla Gopanna, popularly known as Bhaktha Ramadas, a perfect devotee of Lord Sree Rama.


History:

Sri Seeta Ramachandraswamy Temple attracts lakhs of devotees from all over the india. This place which is surrounding by holy river Godavari flowing towards southern direction is famous devotion of Badrachalam. The derived from Bhadragiri. This place existed in "Dandakaranya" of Ramayana period Rama with his consort Seeta and brother Laxmana had spent their Vanavasa and Parnashala (Famous golden deer place from where Seeta abducted by Ravana). It is at this mandir site that, long after Ramavatara, Bagawan Mahavishnu manifested himself as Rama again to fulfil a promise he made to his bhakta bhadra, who continued his Tapas thriugh Yugas, praying for the grace of the Bhadawan Sri Ramachandra Murthy.


Baktha Ramadas Construction of Temple:

Bhadrachalam Devasthanam Constructed by Kancharla Gopanna known as Bhaktha Ramadas in the year 1674 AD.
He was born to Linganna Murthy and Kamamba in Nelakondapally village at Kammamett Taluk in 17th century (1620 AD). As Tahasildar he was discharging his afficial duties callecting revenuces due to Nawads in continution of daily preaches-chanting of 'Ramanama' and feeding the poor at his house. Ramadasa, heard the news that the villagers of palvoncha were proceeding to witness a Jathara at Bhadrachalam. He found the deities in an amazing appearence. Ramadas, then asked the villagers to contribute liberaly for the construction of the temple. Accordingly, Ramadas constructed the with an amount with an amount of Rs.6 Lakhs collected from the land revenues without the permission of the Golconda Nawab.
