Kota gullu temples located in Ghanpur of Jayashankar Bhupalpally District. It is famous for a group of 12 th century stone temples, and it's kakatiya temple architecture of kakatiya's consisting of about 20 temples different designs and sizes. It is believed that Ghanpur got its name from the illustrious king of Ghanapathideva who ruled between 1199-1260 A.D.
Temples are constructed with in a double walled stone enclosure. The main temple deticated to Lord Shiva, is the most admirable, to the north of the main temple. It is looks alike in appearance. The eastern and southern porticos are embellished with several mythical figures of Gaja Kesari. half human-half lion from riding on elephant, horse head liaon back on elephant.
Now the temples are being renovated by the Deportment of Archaeology.
