History:
             
Thousand pillar temple or Rudreswara Swamy temple is a historic hindu temple in the town of Hanmakonda. It is constructed in the 12th century.
The great Kakatiya Dynasty, that ruled state of telangana region from 750 AD - 1325 AD For 575 years. This temple was build during the period of the kakatiya dynasty in 1163 AD by order of the king "GANPATI DEVA". The temple built in unique "Trikootalaya" style of kakatyas, the presiding deity in the main "sanctoram" is Rudreshwar and the other two are dedicated to "Lord Surya" and "Lord Vishnu". this temple under the patronage of Ganapathi Gudi is also part of the Ganapathi Deva. The temple has three shrines, which are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya. This temple constructed in the 72 years.


Kalyana Mandapam:


Kalyana Mandapam is most attracting and important in this temple. But in 2004 the Archaeological Survey of india has embarked on a mission to save it. The outward tilting of the Kalyana Mandapam of the 1000 Pillar Temple has made the authorities intervence and place Iron rods between the pillars so that it will not collapse.

A beautifully curved giant "Nandi" as in Lepakshi is seen on the plotform connecting the shrines in the mandapam. the exterior wall of the Temple.
